Fibre Company Meadow now re-stocked

I posted about our new store sample yesterday but, in my haste, I completely neglected to mention the yarn we used to knit our Twinleaf wrap!  Meadow, from the Fibre Company, is comprised of four luxurious fibers which are spun together and kettle dyed. Because the merino, baby llama, silk, and linen fibers all take dyes to varying degrees, the result is a unique blend that is beautifully heathered with amazing colour depth.  The different fibers also bring individual and specific qualities of drape, softness, sheen, and stitch definition making it a lovely choice for shawls, scarves, and lightweight garments. Each 100g skein is 549 m making one enough for most accessory projects.

We currently have 15 shades in stock including the newly added – Bluebonnet, Alfalfa, and Silt (see below).

Grace Anna Farrow’s Allium Collection which is entirely designed with Meadow provides perfect inspiration!

Introducing Meadow – a brand new yarn from the Fibre Co.

We’ve added another lovely new yarn to our shelves this week! Meadow, from the Fibre Company, is a delightful blend of four luxurious fibers which are spun together and kettle dyed. The merino, baby llama, silk, and linen fibers all take dyes to varying degrees resulting in a unique blend that is beautifully heathered with amazing colour depth.  The individual qualities of drape, softness, sheen, and crisp stitch definition brought by the different fibers makes this a “must-try” yarn for shawls, scarves, and lightweight garments! Each 100g skein is 549 m making one enough for most accessory projects. All 12 shades in stock.

In support of this beautiful new yarn, the Fibre Company has launched a series of 8 new designs by Grace Anna Farrow entitled the Allium Collection.

Description from the Fibre Company:

“Encountered in the garden, along the wayside, and in the kitchen, the allium family is part of our daily lives. A simple, common flower, complex in it’s construction and dazzling in it’s beauty. The Allium Collection marries the mundane and the dramatic in a way that Grace Anna Farrow does best. The designs are elegant to wear and inspiring to knit, their construction both unexpected and simplistic at the same moment.”
