There are two things underlying this week’s free pattern selection – my eternal quest for the perfect poncho and a yearning for Spring when the winter coat will finally be snubbed in favour of lighter weight transitional pieces designed for more civilized temperatures! The Hugo Poncho by Gosia Grajdek was posted to Ravelry earlier this month and was promptly added to my queue. An easy, seamless, top-down poncho with a lovely overall shape, Hugo is made interesting with the addition of a pretty textured pattern at the shoulders and bottom border. I love the longer length and the modern edge the ribbing at the neck provides. I do hope to squeeze this project in in time for Spring but, if not, there’s always Fall!
