New store sample: Augustine Shawlette

Augustine Shawlette by Valdis Vrang

A bright and cheerful project just off Lisa’s needles this week. The Augustine Shawlette by Valdis Vrang is a well-written, easy to follow pattern and the hand-dyed 100% silk yarn from Tanis Fiber Arts is exquisite to work with. Together these make a great little warm-weather accessory guaranteed to chase the last of the winter blahs away!

Hi I am knitting this shawl from my stash & wondered if you would mind answering a question. In every photograph, yours & other projects on Ravelry, there appear to be ‘elongated’ stitches between the wide ribs, where the purls usually are, making it nice & airy. Mine however, looks like a straight K3k1tbl p2 rib ………. should I expect to see the difference when I wash/block the shawl or is it that I am doing something wrong? Thank you, Helen D’All
