Over the last weeks Lisa and I have been meeting with yarn company reps, making selections and preparing orders for the coming months. Believe it or not, this is both an exciting and stressful process. Applying everything we’ve learned over the last three years about what our customers love as we pore over new products and shade cards seems like it should be easier than it is. Sometimes things we bring in that we’re sure will appeal fall flat while others unexpectedly take off in popularity. Now that we’ve gotten past the “getting to know one another” phase with our customers, we’ve enjoyed a good record of fulfilling yarn needs and desires (and maybe creating some, too?). That said, ordering season always leaves us a little queasy – wondering if we’ve made the right choices. Over the next weeks, I thought I’d begin giving you all a sneak peak as to what’s on the horizon. Do let us know what you think – we’d love your feedback!
First up, a new fingering weight yarn from Rowan:
