The Lacy Baktus is Terhi Montonen’s modification of the very popular Baktus pattern by Strikkelise with the simple addition of a “yo k2tog” lace pattern every 8th row. I love the versatility of this scarf – it seems to look great no matter the type or size of yarn used. From straight-up solids to variegated hand-dyes, from superwash merino to silk and mohair blends – each provides a different look ranging from tailored to boho-chic. The pattern calls for fingering weight but for a larger, cozier version, why not try a sport, DK, or even worsted weight yarn – just adjust your needle size as necessary.
