We’re back from TNNA and, as is always the case, we’re relaxed and inspired! There will be lots of new and exciting stuff to report on over the coming weeks and months but first – how about some new store samples? Despite a a setback or two due to the over-consumption of wine and Bloody Marys, Lisa and I managed to finish two new summer sweaters while away. Yay us!
Paulina by Cocoknits
We’ve had our eye on Paulina for a while now and Lisa was inspired to cast on when our new shipment of Habu yarns arrived. Knit with Tsumugi Silk and Silk Stainless Steel stranded together, this little top is surprisingly soft with interesting texture. Light and airy, it’s a great layering piece for summer – casual yet stylish!
On the Beach by Isabell Kraemer
Although the original version is striped, I was inspired to knit this simple summer sweater in a single colour of Shibui Linen in keeping with one I had seen on Ravelry. The result is a light and shimmery tunic-style top with gorgeous drape – ideal for layering over a tank top or camisole. The pattern itself is clearly written and easy to follow and the larger needle-size makes this a quick project. The sweater is knit seamlessly from the top-down.
