Oaklet Shawl by Megan Goodacre is a sweet and simple triangular shawl with a pretty lace border that makes for a perfect summer project.  The finished dimensions (48 inches wide x 20 inches at the point (blocked)) allow it to be worn comfortably both around the neck or across the shoulders.  It requires just about 400 yards (366 metres) of fingering weight yarn – a lovely single skein project to use up something beautiful you’ve been stashing.  If you’d like a larger shawl the pattern is easily modified by increasing the number of reps by multiples of 4.
