Cascade Magnum re-stocked + free project idea

A new shipment of Cascade Magnum arrived last week which can only mean winter is coming.  This is one of our favourite yarns for quick accessories – soft and lofty in an array of beautiful colours from heathered neutrals to rich brights. 100% Peruvian Highland Wool
250gr / 113 m
1.5-2 sts=1″
10-12 mm needles

In need of something new and cozy, I decided to knit this cowl I pinned to our Inspiration Board on Pinterest from the Elie Tahari Fall 2014 runway show.

Two skeins of Magnum and a couple of hours later it was finished!  This really is easy as pie and hardly needs a formal pattern. I’ve included the instructions down below but will prepare a file for download soon.

2 skeins Cascade Magnum
1 set of 12 mm / 24″ circular knitting needles

Cast on 62 stitches and join to knit in the round being careful not to twist.

Row 1: Knit all stitches
Row 2: Purl all stitches

Repeat rows 1 and 2 until yarn is nearly finished – end with Row 1. Be sure to leave enough yarn to cast off.  Cast off loosely and steam lightly if desired. Enjoy!
