Free pattern Friday: Toast Armwarmers

Toast armwarmers by Leslie Friend are a great transitional accessory to carry you from early autumn days into winter. They provide that little bit of extra warmth under sweaters and jackets without the heavier coverage of fully-fledged fingerless gloves. They can be pushed up if you need to use your whole hand or pulled down to cover cold fingers.  Pictured here knit with Blue Sky Alpacas Suri Merino – a cozy single-ply blend of baby suri alpaca and merino.  Just one skein is enough for a pair. In order to maximize your yarn, we suggest using a scale to divide your skein in half as you wind it up and then just knit armwarmers to the end of each ball.

Looking for a set? Toast armwarmers would pair very nicely with Purl Soho’s Lovely Ribbed Neckwarmer which is also designed with BSA Suri Merino.

Fingerless mitts and armwarmers are my preferred knit for this season. Days are getting cool, morning sometimes quite cold, and they are so easy to knit. I am planning a new pair really soon. Thanks for this simple pattern.
