Come knit tuques with us + 10 free hat patterns!

We’ve been amazed by the incredible generosity our customers have shown since our post about Danielle Létourneau’s 25 000 Tuques campaign, an initiative that seeks to convey Canada’s support of incoming Syrian refugees with the gifting of “welcome tuques” upon their arrival. Providing a refugee with a warm hat is surely a small gesture, but it’s one that speaks volumes. Many of you have come into the store to purchase yarn to knit new hats and some have already dropped off finished projects with notes of welcome attached.  We are so happy to receive these and hope to collect many more!

If you’re currently working on a hat (or hats) for this initiative, we would love to have you join us at our regular Knit Night tomorrow evening from 18h30 – 21h00 to work your tuque magic in community. We promise, you will be in very good company!

In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of 10 free hat patterns to help you in your endeavours.  :-)

How wonderful! I hope you continue to be overwhelmed with toques! I’ll be doing the same here in Pittsburgh for a local charity. Your caps are delicious!
