Free pattern Friday x 4!

I couldn’t decide which pattern to highlight for Free pattern Friday today so I’m posting an eclectic mix of four. Enjoy!

A great introduction Fair Isle / colour work, this sweet hat is knitted with 4 colours of aran weight yarn.

A simple and stylish project using just one skein (226 m) of sport weight yarn. Who doesn’t love a one-skein project?!

CONVERSATIONALIST by Plucky Knitter Design

A great project for social (i.e. mindless) knitting, this easy hat uses 3 colours of worsted weight yarn. If your skeins are at least 210 m each, you should be able to get 3 hats from the 3 skeins at the suggested gauge!

RIBBON CANDY SCARF by Xandy Peters

This fun psychedelic scarf is a perfect introduction to stacked increases and decreases, a technique which creates extreme waves of colour. Knit with super bulky yarn on 9.0 mm needles, it’s also a quick and satisfying project!

I just want to thank you for writing this wonderful blog and for sharing so many beautiful yarns and great ideas to use with them. I want to knit practically everything you share with us (so much yarn, so many great patterns, never enough time to knit them all!).

Someday I hope to get to Montreal and visiting your shop is very near the top of the list of things to do.

Again, thank you so much. And Happy Holidays to all of you!!
