Weekend Round-up + The Third Piece

Lisa just spent five days with me here in New York on an “Espace Tricot Planning Retreat”. We’ve hatched some big plans for 2016 and needed some dedicated time together to develop and fine-tune our ideas for the coming year. Needless to say, some of our “research” took place on the streets of the city – from soaking up the merchandising at John Derian and ABC Carpet and Home to browsing the shops in Soho and then spending a fabulous day among fellow-knitters and retailers at Vogue Knitting Live. Ridiculously, we took very few photos – here are some I found on my camera this morning…🙂

The Third Piece

Among  several “discoveries” at Vogue Knitting Live, we were very happy to meet Carina Denoso and Kristen Lambert, Co-Founders of The Third Piece – “a coveted accessory company that specializes in hand-knit statement pieces”. Until recently, Carina and Kristen have been selling their high-end finished accessories (knit by a team of piecemakers) exclusively at retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman and TNT. Luckily for us knitters, however, they have begun wholesaling their Funky Chunky yarn and patterns so we can create these fabulous looks for ourselves. We won’t have these in stock for a few weeks yet but, in the meantime, feast your eyes on a few of the pieces Lisa and I fell in love with. We’re working up samples right now and should have some finished accessories in the store soon!

Your store & emails are beautiful! I really appreciate the free patterns you feature every week. I wish I lived close enough to visit you & go through your luscious selection of yarns. Thank you so much for allowing us in the western US to be part of Espace Tricot!
