Hedgehog Fibres!

I’ve hesitated to blog about the arrival of this spectacular shipment from Hedgehog Fibres because we don’t yet have images from our photographer for the website. That said, quite a few orders for these yarns are coming through despite this fact and they’re also flying out of the shop in the hands of those close enough to make it in for a visit. In the interest of ensuring that no one misses out, we are happy to let you know that we currently have Hedgehog Fibres Sock, Skinny Singles, and Kidsilk Lace yarns in stock. Hand-dyed in Beata Jezek’s signature style, there are plenty of both speckles and solids on hand for your knitting pleasure.

Skinny Singleshhf_skinny_singles

Squishy and soft, with just the right amount of twist! Skinny Singles will work for any lace pattern, especially Stephen West designs for fingering weight yarns. Colours shift beautifully from one to another. Randomly dyed to prevent striping or pooling, as much as possible, this yarn creates a variegated effect that looks good in plain stockinette or advanced stitch motifs.

100% merino / 100g / 366 m / 400 y / 28-32 sts per 10 cm / 4″

Sock Yarn

hhf_sock2

Merino wool, softly spun, non-scratchy yarn. Sock is Hedgehog Fibres most popular and famous yarn base, and for good reason. The perfect balance of soft and durable, the dye takes especially beautifully on this base. The ideal yarn for accessories, especially Stephen West designs for fingering weight yarns. It is fantastic for shawls, scarves, baby items, hats and more!

90% superwash merino, 10% nylon / 100g / 400m / 440 y / 28-32 sts per 10 cm / 4″

Kidsilk Lace
