Lisa says that the Scarfy Thing by Beata Jezek is one of the most fun projects she’s knit in a while and the speed with which she completed it attests to this fact! Beata provides just enough detail in this free pattern “recipe” to provide good direction but builds enough flexibility into the process to encourage knitters to make it creatively their own. Lisa chose a single colour as the base yarn and five contrasting colours for pops of colour throughout. She finished it off with a speckle for the i-cord edge. All yarns were Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles but any fingering weight yarn will do. So pretty!
We will be running our Scarfy Thing Knit-Along as both an in-store and virtual event (through Ravelry) beginning April 13th. If you are able to join us in the shop, we will meet for three consecutive Thursdays – April 13th, 20th, and 27th – from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. No need to register (this is a free activity), simply come in on those dates ready to cast on and knit the Scarfy Thing with friends 🙂 .
Click HERE to announce your intention to participate in our Ravelry group. We invite you to join us there (even if you are knitting with us in-store) to chat and share photos of works in progress!
If you complete your Scarfy Thing by May 15th and upload your photo to the finished object thread for this knit-along in our Ravelry group, you will have a chance to win A LOQI Backpack from the Metallic Collection, a Needle Keeper, and a Digital Row Counter. The winner will be chosen via random number generator from the finished object thread (one entry per person only please).
We hope you’ll join us!
