WORKSHOP: SEAMING (Bilingual Class)
Wednesday, April 12 from 6 pm – 9 pm
Learn how to sew perfect seams in stockinette, garter and in ribbing. Students may bring completed projects waiting to be sewn up as well as samples. Required materials: 2 small samples (2” by 3”) of each of the stitches mentioned; tapestry needle; extra yarn (same as samples).
BLUE SAND CARDIGAN (Bilingual Class)
Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8:30, April 19, 26, May 3
Learn to knit the gorgeous BlueSand Cardigan by La Maison Rililie – it will surely become your go-to sweater. You might love it so much you’ll want to knit it twice with the option to choose between two different yoke constructions. This sweater is knit top-down and features some short row shaping. Prerequisites: Intermediate. Required materials: pattern, DK weight yarn in 3 colours in the quantity required to knit the size desired, main colour (852-1347 yds), contrast colour #1 (175-277yds), contrast colour #2 (259-409 yds), 3.5mm, 4mm and 4.5mm 32” circular needles or needle sizes required to achieve gauge, stitch markers and holders, and a 2mm crochet hook.
TRICOT 101 (Bilingual Class)
Sundays, 10 am – 12 pm, April 23, 30, and May 7
Join us for this 3-week learn to knit class and we will have you knitting and purling in no time! Tricot 101 will introduce you to the basic techniques of knitting (knit, purl, cast on, bind off) and explain the fundamentals of knitting theory and terminology. By the end of the course you will have all you need to begin your first project! Prerequisites: none
PEBBLE BEACH (Bilingual Class)
Tuesdays, 6 pm – 8pm, April 25, May 2, 9
Come knit Helen Stewart’s beautiful Pebble Beach shawl with us! Depending on the yarn used, this can be a nice airy summer shawl or a warmer one for the winter. You will be introduced to basic lace knitting, which is written out row by row. Prerequisites: CO, knit, purl, BO. Required materials: pattern, lace or fingering weight yarn (437 to 800 yards depending on the size shawl you would like to knit), 4mm circular needles, darning needle.
