Cocoknits Books and Tools
Sweater Workshop Book
This is one of the best-selling books we’ve ever carried and for good reason! With over 30 years of knitting, designing, and teaching experience – Julie Weisenberger has compiled nine sweater designs into the Cocoknits Sweater Workshop. These patterns employ the same simple, seamless, top-down styling techniques we’ve come to expect from Cocoknits. More than just a collection, this book explains the Cocoknits Method – a system of tracking knitting progress in your own easy to follow customized chart. Unlike most traditional patterns that create flat shapes, the tailored style of construction in these patterns creates truly three dimensional garments that impart a great fit upon completion. In addition to the patterns, Julie has dedicated a section of the book to an in-depth guide to choosing the right patterns for your figure type with considerations for colorwork, textured stitches, and hemlines all working in concert to create the right silhouette for you.
Sweater Worksheet Journal
A perfect companion to the Cocoknits Sweater Workshop book (although not required), the Cocoknits Sweater Worksheet Journal is part of a system for knitting seamless, tailored sweaters from the top down, called the Cocoknits Method. Cocoknits Sweater Worksheets make knitting sweaters using the color-coded Cocoknits Method virtually carefree, with very little counting required. Once you fill it in, it allows you to work the shaping of the yoke of any seamless, yoked sweater pattern easily and without referring to written-out instructions. These Worksheets can also be used with any seamless, yoked sweater pattern even if the pattern is not from Cocoknits. The Sweater Worksheet Journal contains 24 blank Worksheets and it becomes a diary of your sweater-knitting history. All the information – from date begun and finished, yarns used, gauge, pattern source – is recorded in its pages for future reference.
Leather Cord and Needle Stitch Holder Kit
Use the Cocoknits Leather Cord and Needle Stitch Holder Kit in lieu of scrap yarn whenever you need to hold live stitches. The threaded needles allow you to knit off of your leather cord – from whichever end you need to!
The kit contains:
- two interior-threaded needles made of nickel plated steel
- three lengths of leather cord
- one long – for holding sts of sweater body (59 in/150 cm)
- two short – for holding sts of sleeves (29.5 in /75 cm)
Precious Metal Stitch Markers
Not just silver anymore! Cocoknits Precious Metal Stitch Markers are finished with gold, silver and copper colouring! The stitch markers are steel based, so still attach to your Knitter’s Keep, Magnetic Concrete Tray or any magnet so that you can easily store and retrieve them.
