Ombre Tank by Mona Schmidt for Espace Tricot
We have another new Espace Tricot pattern for you this week! The yarn for this design is not a new arrival, yet it is definitely worth a special mention. Habu Textiles Tsumugi Silk consists of 100% silk and is a versatile summer yarn with lots of possibilities. Taking advantage of the fact that this is a lace/2-ply yarn, we knit it up double-stranded and used the same technique as the Ombre cowl to achieve the gradation of colours. The fabric is crisp yet soft and supple at the same time – you have to touch our sample to really understand!
This little top is perfect for hot summer days but if you cannot wait until then, layer it with a tee and you’re set for spring! The lower body is knit in the round and front and back neckline are kept the same – an easy knit with minimal finishing work. The A-line shaping is very flattering on most body types and the pattern covers a large variety of sizes, starting with 33.5″ up to 50.5″ We’ve ordered more colours of the Tsumugi to ensure that you can pick exactly what you had in mind when choosing your own version of our new design.
