Sonnensegel by Ulrike Altrogge is a fun and easy-to-knit shawl pattern which I think will be a great way to show off the gorgeous colour-changing hues of the newly arrived Lang Mille Colori Baby (see previous post). As the designer notes “The main colour impression of the shawl develops from the choice of a single colour mohair yarn. It can range from very similar to highly contrasting colour in comparison with shades of self-striping yarn.” That said, I’ve decided to knit this up using Shibui’s exquisite Silk Cloud – a stunning blend of silk and mohair. I’ll post progress pics as soon as possible so check back soon!
